Leather
Types of Leather implements:
Tawse- The tawse is a leather strap with its business end cut into a number of tails (usually two or three)
The straps pictured below are a 4 tailed tawse, the Lochgelly tawse, and the Glasgow tawse made by the London Tanner whose implements are still made and stitched by hand. They are both beautiful and painful!
Regular Straps & Floggers
The straps pictured below are three Irish school straps, a covenant strap and an English school strap also by London Tanner.

These are spanking strops they are similar to using a belt, but due to them being sewed together they are more stable, also by London Tanner.

One of the more severe type of straps, the Canadian prison strap and the Arkansas prison straps are larger and need more control to wield, also by London Tanner. They are longer and heavier than most straps and should not be used by a beginner.
The pictures to the left are the Ruler Strap and triple viper tail by London Tanner.
This flogger set is a custom made set I had done by Toolworks Chicago. He makes rubber and aluminium handled floggers. They are well balanced and come in several sizes.
Paddles
Paddles are smaller than straps and easier to handle for a beginner as there is little chance of wrapping. They are stiffer and are not floppy as some straps can be.
The leather paddles are the hairbrush paddle, which is two layers of leather with a piece of Delrin in between to make it stiffer and heavier and the leather pocket paddle both by Adam & Gillians.
