Carrie’s Story

carrie_150I just finished reading Carrie’s Story by Molly Weatherfield. I had previously read the sequel Safe Word, so I thought I should read the first one too, since I really liked it!  I like the story and the style she writes in. It is written from Carrie’s perspective and has thoughts, feelings, musings about herself and different situation throughout the story.

The two books are about the life of Carrie as a slave. At the end of Carrie’s story she is sold at auction and in the second book, Safe Word, she continues the story as she enters her year of service.

In the beginning of Carrie’s Story  she meets Jonathan at a party and he invites her to become his slave. She is intrigued and so on an appointed day she goes to his house. It is totally her decision, he doesn’t coerce her in any way. He did not ask for her phone number or address. He gives her his card with his address and tells her if she is interested she can come if not then she has no worries from him as he will not ask her for any of her information, but if she does come she will need to  do exactly as he says. She does end up going to his house. She is scared and confused but also intrigued and excited.  The book chronicals her life as Jonathan trains her to be what he wants. She is made to serve him in many ways both sexually and as entertainment for him to watch as she is used by others. She is also sent to a friend of Jonathan’s when he is out of town to be trained on a pony farm. Meaning the slaves are treated as pony’s in all ways including wearing tails and pulling carts. They are trained in various gaits and how to pull a cart using only the signals given by the bit in their mouth.

She grows and learns to obey and thrives on being able to do as he asks. He does beat her throughout their time together, sometimes as a punishment for some transgression, other times for his enjoyment.  It is a truly well written story about dominance and submission and the joy for both people in the power exchange. The dominant from the feeling of power when someone will do as you tell them, even if it might be humiliating or painful. For the submissive it can be very powerful and erotic  to be able to do what you are asked/told to and do it well in spite of humiliation, fear or excitement. Submission can be a feeling of control, being able to control your feelings, your body, your mind.

There are many things in Carrie’s story that intrigue me. All the situations relating to CP. For me being spanked by my top out of the blue is an awesome feeling. I love it when I am told by him to bend over or to go get ready for a spanking. That doesn’t usually work thesame way if someone else were to try it, because I have to have the same level of trust to be able to submit to someone else. There are a few other people who could do that with me and get the same response from me. I am too much of a switch to be able to submit to most people that easily. That is not to say that I don’t like to be spanked by other people, it is just something that I usually initiate. I find true submissives to be very brave and trusting. I have a hard time being that trusting though.

I like the way Carrie analyses her behavior and why she is aroused by her submission. She discusses a lot of her feelings and her situation with her vanilla life roommate. She doesn’t live with Jonathan but spends time at his house and when she is there she is his to command. So she leads two separate lives, her vanilla school and work life and her time with Jonathan. It is an interesting look at a how kink and vanilla lifestyles co-exist and how she feels about it.

It is a good book for any kink accepting person to see things that might be intriguing for them or just to give perspective to what a slave/submissive can get out of a dominant/submissive relationship. It is also just a good read as an erotic novel.
