Story of O

story of OI first watched the movie and later read the book. The movie always puts me in a submissive mood.

This is an interesting story of O’s journey into submission first at the hands of Rene, then at Roissey, a club for the training of submissives, and later with Sir Stephan.  At Roissey the women learn to obey whatever they are told and endure whatever punishments or debasement that may occur. This is not to say that O is not a strong personality. She is a highly successful photographer in her own right. She endures all for love.

I don’t agree with all the things she is required to do throughout the story, however the feeling of pleasure and release that she feels being praised by Rene and later Sir Stephan, when she is properly submissive is something that happens for many submissives. She is subjected to floggings, degradation, bondage, sex along with other things. She may not always like what is happening, but she is happy to do as Rene wishes for love.

Later Rene gives her to Sir Stephan who is even more demanding than Rene was. She does as she is bid by sir Stephan and feels a freedom and strength in doing as she is bid even going to a party on a lead wearing nothing but a mask. She basks in the attention she is given for her grace and form.

O also learns what it feels to be on teh dominant side of a submissive relationship in the book as well.

The Story of O is a story of love strength, dominance, love and submission.

It’s also a story of callous neglect and foolishness – neglect on the part of Sir Stephen and foolishness on the part of O
