At any rate back to the FMS party it had to be one of the best parties yet. It was a bit smaller than the last which I think made it a bit more intimate. There were not as many people so you got to spend more time with everyone. There were enough activities to keep everyone’s attention and enough free time to play and bob in the pool.

I hope someone fills in the hole left by the demise of the beach party. Ian is talking about a European party, which could be a lot of fun if we can make it there. The Europeans have been coming over here for our parties, so going to Europe to experience one there could be a lot of fun.

I had a lot of fun and still didn’t get to play with everyone I wanted too, I hope to catch up with them at the next party. That is how it always is, one weekend never seems to be enough.

It is always great to see old friends and meet new people. The spanking community keeps getting bigger. It is almost mainstream, I guess in some ways it is mainstream now. It used to show up in sitcoms. Then it was gone. Now it is back in the sitcoms again. Once upon a time if you searched for spanking on the Internet you would come up with a handful of sites, now it’s thousands of sites.

We got in and met up with some friends and went to dinner over at Snapper’s across from the hotel. It took awhile as we had a larger group, but the conversations were entertaining. Then we came back to the hotel and spent some time chatting with friends in one of the suites before heading to a friends room for our first spankings of the party. I got to help with a double team and then have a spanking of my own.

Then we went back up to one of the suites for some more catching up with friends. There was good conversation and the sound of spankings to be heard and spankings periodically to add backround music

So this afternoon the party begins and I look forward to seeing more friends and off course more spankings.

It has been awhile since my last spanking what with work being crazy and lack of help and hours, so I get to pull a lot of doubles, so I am looking forward to some relaxation and lots and lots of spankings to help in that relaxation.

One of my favorite moments of the party was the trying to sneak off the stage when I was the bottom on the line for someone who was singing for spanking karaoke. I was laughing so hard that I almost fell off the stage while I was trying to “escape”.  The person who was singing finally had to stop singing since they couldn’t sing anymore because they were trying so hard not to laugh. I got dragged back up on stage by one of the judges to take my turn with the robo spanker for the “failure” of the singer.

There were a lot of great times and lots of laughing, especially with the video evidence presented during the Tanner reformatory, Spanked Straight segment. Not to say that there weren’t squeaks or outright howls from those who tested the family strap.

There were many open suites to gather in at night and many activities to participate in throughout the day. In between the planned activities there was ample time to play.

Along with a great party the beds at the hotel were awesome. Not your typical, when can I get home to my own bed hotel type bed, but ones that you melted into with pillows to match. Our hotel room had a great view of the ocean as well.

Putting together a party like this is a lot of work and takes a lot of dedication from a lot of people to pull it off well. This is a party I would recommend to everyone. It is very newbie friendly with plenty of safe activities to break  the ice and let you get to know people before you play. I really appreciated the thought and effort that the two spanking groups SSNY and SSPhilly  put into pulling together such a great parrty.

When we used to have our work parties here one of my favorite places to visit was the little irish pub. It looks like they have remodeled a bit sine that last time I was here though.

Flogging in many ways reminds me of juggling, at least from the top side of the flogger. When using two floggers it is much the same movement as juggling at least in the way I use them in a cross-over pattern. I like a light-weight flogger because it is more of a treat. It flows and lands with a light touch, even when using it with more force it doesn’t have the impact of most implements. So especially while learning how to use a flogger I feel most comfortable with the lighter weight softer leathers.

From the flip side I also like the lighter weight floggers, it is very relaxing and calming. I like to be flogged all over the back of my body. It is so relaxing for me that I have fallen asleep during a good flogging; because it has put me in such a profound sense of relaxation. Flogging is very unlike the other types, which are the more intense spankings that I like at other times.

Snowy days also lead me to the couch in front of a nice warm fire wrapped in a blanket with a good book hopefully with spankings involved or short of that a strong heroine.

That changed earlier this week with a long spanking session. It started before bed with a hand spanking that turned my bottom nice pink and gave it the beginnings of the warmth to come. Following that was the Shadowlane leather paddle which is a lighter weight paddle so it is more stingy than thuddy which added to the heat of my bottom and started to give me that warm and cozy feeling in my belly. The next implement was a bakelite hairbrush which is intrinsically evil in my mind. It is a really hard plastic that stings like the dickens and started turning my bottom red. I would compare it to ebony, which anyone who has felt that knows it should be relegated to the fire pit or in the case of the bakelite brush under the bed and out of reach!

After the bakelite brush the ruler strap, which normally is a stinger was a relief. It felt a lot more thuddy than stingy in comparison and since I am more of a thud person that made me very happy and I was starting to get the endorphins going. Then he followed that with a larger strap which was also wonderful and increased the reddening of my bottom.

Now since I was enjoying it too much, who could blame him for picking up a cane next, and a whippy one at that *sigh*. That definitely got my attention back to the fact that this was a spanking after all! My bottom was very tingly by then and red or a dark pink anyway. The endorphins were working overtime by then. He followed the cane with a very stingy paddle, made by Kitty in a beautiful exotic wood, and then a large wooden spoon shaped paddle, both of which were very stingy for wood.

To finish he gave me my candy, which is his hand, to put me into a state of endophin, warm bottomed, bliss.

If I don’t get my spankings I start to get pretty cranky, so when it has been awhile I usually get a nice long multi implement spanking to keep me happy for a long time.

In this first book in the Alpha and Omega series , Cry Wolf, Anna didn’t know werewolves existed until the night she was attacked and became one. Anna is not a typical werewolf though she is an Omega. An omega is very rare and has a calming affect on a pack. She is not bound by the typical pack hierarchy, but she is not in a normal pack and is kept down by often brutal means. She learns fear that keeps her alive in the face of the dominant males in her pack.

When a young man turns up dead she recognizes him as one killed by her pack and drums up eth courage to call the leader of all the werewolves in North America. This starts a string of events that will change her life as much as being changed into a werewolve ever did.

Bran the leader of all the werewolves in North America send Charles to investigate and Anna learns things that she should have learned before even being turned. There are rules for werewolves that should be followed in order to keep them safe from the human population.

The question is will Anna allow herself to trust Charles enough for him to rescue her from the situation. At first Anna seems weak and scared, but throughout the story we see the inner strength that has kept her alive when others might have given up.

This story intersects many of the characters from the Mercy Thompson series and give a more in depth look at some of the people like Bran and Charles who have played smaller roles in that series.

I like Patricia Briggs writing style. I am not one to look for a knight in shining armor. I want the female characters to be able to think and act on their own even when they need rescuing. I also like how the characters struggle and come to grips with being werewolf and what that means.

The struggle to control or accept the wolf half is a parallel for me to the spanking fetish. If you fight it you can be consumed, but if you accept it and integrate it into your life it adds to a fulfilling life.
